There’s no denying Taylor Swift’s massive impact. Her singing and songwriting skills helped propel her to the top of the music charts. The 11-time Grammy Award-winning singer has taken her talents to film, and she’s even earned an honorary doctorate degree. A literal icon, T-Swift’s influence has now made its way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe by way of a vintage meme. Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi confirmed that a 2013 meme inspired by Taylor was featured in a scene in the highly-anticipated Marvel film.

According to Insider, the acclaimed director said, “The goats were always going to be in there because they are in the comics, but we didn’t know how they would sound.” The director revealed that a post-production employee suggested incorporating the 2013 meme of goats screaming during the chorus of Taylor’s “I Knew You Were Trouble.” The video earned 5.7 million views on YouTube since its debut in 2013.

In the film, Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, and Korg, played by Waititi, were gifted a pair of goats from a group of aliens they’ve assisted in a battle. “I didn’t even know that existed,” Waititi said. “So I hear the screaming goats, and I just felt it was awesome. A lot of people think it’s me screaming [in the movie]. It’s not.” Waititi went on to hire a vendor to create computer-generated goats. “So it was just a shot of how the CG creatures were coming along, it wasn’t meant for the film or anything, it was just an update,” the director said. “And the screams were freaking awesome.”

Yesss, the Taylor Swift impact! We love to see it.
