Keanu Reeves admitted he was shocked when he was called to make The Matrix Resurrections while promoting the film Monday on The Late Show on CBS.
The 57-year-old actor, who wore a dark suit and had a full beard, said he was so surprised when he got the call from director Lana Wachowski, 56, that he stood up and said, ‘What? What? But we are dead.’
Keanu added that since it was the Matrix that anything goes and noted the new movie also was called ‘Resurrections’.

‘But believe me, it will all make sense,’ Keanu promised.
Show host Stephen Colbert, 57, asked him about his first day back as the characters Neo and Thomas Anderson. Keanu tried to explain to Stephen the confusing difference between the two characters.
‘He was born as Thomas Anderson,’ Keanu said.
‘Was he or was he just harvested,’ asked Stephen. ‘Is that born?’
