Brazilian team in Belém: Danilo points out differences with Diniz’s playing style; check out

“He has a different game than what we’re used to.” This is how right-back Danilo defined the beginning of the Brazilian team’s relationship with coach Fernando Diniz . In a press conference this Tuesday (5), right after the first full training session in Belém, before the match against Bolivia for the World Cup Qualifiers , the experienced player said that “availability” will be needed to understand how to act Brazil’s interim coach.

“He’s right when he says that it’s difficult to implement a game idea in such a short time and different from usual. It’s a game of movement that’s different from the more positional game that we were used to here in the national team and at most clubs. It depends on availability and patience to understand that it doesn’t happen overnight, patience on the outside”, he explained.

Despite the differences, Danilo said that this new way of playing football can be an additional asset for an athlete’s career. Despite this, he said that it is important that the squad believes in the style of play implemented by the Fluminense coach . Otherwise, the results may not come so easily.

“Having Diniz now is something that tells me that it adds value to my story that I haven’t had yet. It will be a lot of learning and very useful for my career. It’s something I hadn’t experienced. I was curious to see how he would implement the ideas. For me, the most important thing for a coach is to convince everyone to do that. There are many good ones who can’t convince and things don’t work. I’m very curious to continue this work with Diniz to add to everything I’ve experienced to this day,” he said.
