We heard some interesting things inside Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday evening.
On Saturday night, the Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the Divisional round of the playoffs with a 26-7 win over the Miami Dolphins. Here’s some of what Tom Ruprecht overheard on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
- “Ahh… doesn’t that breeze feel nice?”
- “When we were in the 95-degree heat of training camp, we were dreaming of the playoffs. Now that we’re in the playoffs, we’re dreaming of the 95-degree heat of training camp.”
- “Kickoff is delayed because someone dared Travis Kelce to lick the goalpost.”
- “So Tua… did you get a lot of days like this growing up in Hawaii?”
- “I just breathe easier knowing that Kadarius Toney is inactive.”
- “Jason Garrett has been awful at every NFL job he’s ever had — and they keep giving him new ones!”
- “What should we do with this chunk of Patrick Mahomes’ helmet? Stick it in with the rest of the crap in Andy Reid’s mustache?”
- “I’d say 90% of the Chiefs’ fans showed up — and about 30% of the Dolphins’ players.”
- “The Chiefs don’t get pass interference calls because the referees think, ‘Eh, he would’ve dropped it anyway.’”
- “I didn’t bet the ‘Under’ because of the weather. I bet the ‘Under’ because of the Chiefs’ defense.”
