Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is currently facing multiple off-field issues, one of which intensified Tuesday night due to an incident involving his car but not his direct involvement.
Late Tuesday in Coffee County, a white Dodge Charger registered to Hill became embroiled in a police chase, details Douglas Now. Hill, however, was not in the vehicle.
The chase began after a drug unit detective from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office tried to stop the vehicle, after which the driver, identified as 32-year-old Billy Clarence Toombs Jr., fled. Following a pursuit, Toombs Jr. was apprehended at the intersection of Gaskin and Pine, where he is also suspected of discarding narcotics during the flight.
Representatives for Hill have strongly dissociated him from the events. They issued a statement to WALB clarifying, “Mr.
Hill has no affiliation or relationship with Mr. Toombs Jr.
He is uncertain how Mr. Toombs Jr. came to be in possession of the vehicle and wishes to emphasize that he had no knowledge of or connection to the activities that took place.”
In another legal matter complicates Hill’s personal life. Earlier, his current wife, Keeta Vaccaro, whom he married in November 2023 after two years’ engagement, announced her pregnancy.
Days ago, Hill lost a paternity lawsuit, with a Florida court ruling he is the father of another child and correlating financial responsibilities. He was previously paying $2,500 monthly in support, significantly below the claimed childcare costs of $10,000 a month.
Additionally, Hill is already committed to $13,500 a month in child support for three children with his ex-fiancee, Crystal Espinal.
These incidents add to a turbulent season off the field for Hill, overshadowing his professional pursuits with the Dolphins.
