Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James has been garnering a lot of attention after an NBA insider’s comments regarding his overall game.
Every young person wants to set objectives and be motivated by their father. Bronny James has managed to accomplish this, following his selection as one of the players for the same squad as his father in the draft.
Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The father-son duo also created history when they appeared together on the court against the Phoenix Suns during the Lakers’ second preseason game.
LeBron and Bronny are the only father-son duo in NBA history to share the court for the same team. That said, an anonymous NBA insider is not happy with the Lakers drafting Bronny. He stated that ‘this move might be too early’ for Bronny.
Additionally, one ECF Scout stated that the move set up Bronny for failure.
Although they don’t speak for all NBA insiders, the said executive does not think Bronny will be particularly successful in the league. However, other NBA insiders believe he may be successful due to his immense work rate and mentality.
Bronny James has Lakers head coach and general manager’s backing
Bronny James‘ dream came true when he was chosen by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA draft. Before the pick was made public, Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka and head coach JJ Redick had a chat where they commended Bronny for his character and hard work. Pelinka and Redick emphasized James‘ honesty and work ethic, which are highly valued by the Lakers.
I think first and foremost, you’ve worked incredibly hard, man. You’ve put in a ton of work. When we had lunch up at the facility for your workout, we talked about your work ethic, and that means a lot to us.
Rob Pelinka said
Redick, who was also on the call, congratulated Bronny on his hard work and said that he had a long NBA career ahead of him.
I just wanted to say congrats, man. Your hard work’s paid off. You’re going to have a long NBA career and I can’t wait to coach you, man.
