The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos in unforgettable fashion on Sunday, preserving their perfect record and their lofty standing in the various NFL “power rankings” from around the web.
The Chiefs remained atop Bleacher Report’s rankings this week along with the following analysis, which was simple enough:
“The Kansas City Chiefs just keep finding a way.”
Elsewhere, Bucky Brooks at FOX Sports also ranked the Chiefs as his top team this week. Here’s what Brooks wrote about Kansas City:
“Winners find ways to win. That’s why the Chiefs remain at the top of the list riding a 15-game winning streak that has showcased their versatility as back-to-back champs. Though blocking field goals to clinch wins is not a sustainable strategy, the Chiefs’ ability to rise to the occasion in crucial moments makes it hard to count them out in any contest.”
The Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer also commended the Chiefs’ ability to make clutch plays when it matters most, writing the following analysis in his rankings, which featured Kansas City as his No. 1 team:
“The Chiefs are a complete team on offense, defense, and special teams. When one phase is letting them down or has a tough matchup, the others tend to come through. The more close games they win in comeback fashion, the more difficult they become to beat, not easier.”
