The Ravens needed Madubuike on the defensive line for the 2024 season as the team looks to take the next step from the AFC Championship game appearance and make a run for the Super Bowl.
The Ravens are keeping Madubuike via the franchise tag
Per Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, the Ravens used the franchise tag on Madubuike for the 2024 season. The tag will cost the Ravens $22.1 million. Both parties appear interested in negotiating a long-term deal.

A breakout 2023 season for the rising DT star
The former third-round pick had a breakout season in 2023. Madubuike had 8.5 sacks in his first three seasons in the NFL before adding 13 for the 2023 campaign. Madubuike also added 12 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles last season.
