The Miami Dolphins haven’t added many players since the legal tampering opened up, with Anthony Walker Jr. being the only reported player that they had agreed to terms with.
That was until ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Miami agreed to sign linebacker Jordyn Brooks to a three-year, $30 million contract Monday night.
Brooks, 26, was a first-round selection by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2020 NFL draft out of Texas Tech, where he was a Second-team All-American in his final season.
The former Red Raider spent four seasons with Seattle, appearing in 63 games and recording 513 tackles (23 for a loss), 16 passes defensed, 11 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, three fumbles recovered, two forced fumbles and one interception.
Brooks and Walker will likely be pairing to replace Jerome Baker, who the Dolphins released in recent weeks due to his high cap hit.
