Anthony Davis had a tremendous playoff series for the Los Angeles Lakers, but it wasn’t enough to get past the defending champion Denver Nuggets.
The Lakers were sent home in five games, marking a gentleman’s sweep in the first round. Los Angeles now has to deal with offseason questions around the future of stars like LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell.
James has a player option heading into next season, and Davis revealed what he’ll do in order to keep Jams planted in L.A.
Davis thinks he’ll have major leverage, spending the summer with James at the 2024 Olympics. He’s also been playing with James for quite some time and the two have won a title together, so it’s more likely that they’ll look to add to the roster, rather than rebuild.
“Good thing about it is I’m gonna be with him all summer… He knows how I feel about him,” said Davis, per Lakers Nation on X.
