Former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Isaiah Thomas will get another crack at the NBA.
According to senior NBA insider Shams Charania from The Athletic, the 11-year NBA veteran will sign a ten-day contract with another of his former teams, the Phoenix Suns.
Thomas last played in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets at the tail end of the 2021-2022 season.
He signed two ten-day contracts with the team and ultimately finished the season as a Hornet. He averaged 8.3 points a game on 43.3% shooting from the field and 39.7% from beyond the arc.
For the last couple of days, he has been a member of the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz.
He was playing great basketball there, and the Suns decided to take a shot with the undersized guard.
The two-time NBA All-Star played for the Suns from 2014 to 2015 before being traded to Boston in the 2015 NBA trade deadline.
The former Laker will get the opportunity he’s been waiting for again. We wish him luck down in Arizona.
