Hines was a sixth-round pick (210th overall) by New England in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at LSU, where he appeared in 35 games with 17 starts. Hines was a member of LSU’s 2019 national championship team.
Smith was listed as the Dolphins No. 3 left guard on the roster. Hines would likely assume a backup role on the Dolphins during the preseason.
