Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James has been the talk of the NBA since being taken in the second round of June’s NBA draft.
The rookie out of USC made history when he shared the floor with his father, LeBron James, during the season-opener. Bronny played three minutes but was held scoreless in the Oct. 22 matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Four games later, Bronny scored his first NBA points in Cleveland against the Cavaliers. In his father’s homecoming game, the 6-foot-2 guard went 1-of-2 from the field and added two assists in the loss.
On Friday night, the Lakers defeated the Toronto Raptors 131-125. Bronny saw the court, but not for long.
Bronny subbed in for Anthony Davis with eight seconds left in the game, and all he had was a little jog since the Lakers didn’t even have possession of the ball for the final play.

Sure enough, it sparked a flurry of reactions from fans, with many trolling the younger James for his playing time.
“Didn’t try to do too much. Played within his role. Zero errors. A+ performance,” a commenter sarcastically wrote.
Another one joked, “Bronny’s highlights showcase quality talent on the court!”
“Drew the defense so DiAngelo could secure the winning inbound. Vet move,” a social media user added to mock Bronny.
“5 seconds were enough for him to seal the victory for the Lakers. This kid is special,” a poster further stated.
“Nepotism at its best!” a critic exclaimed along with a laughing emoji.
“No turnovers, No missed shots, I’m giving him a B grade,” another NBA viewer said.
Obviously, Bronny James didn’t put up any stat, and he’ll probably have more similar games where he doesn’t play a lot or only gets garbage time.
At the end of the day, though, Bronny is a project for the Lakers. He’ll probably have to endure a lot more trolling in the future, considering his popularity and the pressure that comes with being the son of LeBron James.
