The Miami Dolphins are facing uncertainty at the running back position ahead of their Thursday matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, the team’s top two running backs, were estimated to be non-participants in practice.
This comes after both players were listed on the injury report following the Dolphins’ previous game. With a short week to prepare, the Dolphins may be forced to rely on Jeff Wilson Jr. and rookie Jaylen Wright.
Wilson led the team in rushing in their last outing, while Wright impressed during the preseason. The team could also elevate Deneric Prince from the practice squad if needed.
Adding to the Dolphins’ injury concerns, rookie wide receiver Malik Washington is also dealing with an injury and is considered unlikely to play. On the Bills’ side, defensive back Taron Johnson and defensive lineman Dawuane Smoot did not practice.
