The Miami Dolphins made adjustments to their practice squad following quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s placement on injured reserve. Veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen was released, and offensive lineman Jackson Carman was added in his place.
Chosen, who started the season on the practice squad, was elevated for both games, recording one reception for five yards in the 31-10 loss against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night and appeared to break off his route early on one play where Tua Tagovailoa was intercepted in the first quarter. His release could signal the return of rookie Malik Washington from a quadriceps injury or the potential elevation of Erik Ezukanma for the upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Carman, a former second-round pick, joins the practice squad after being waived by the Cincinnati Bengals in August. He adds depth and versatility to the offensive line, which is currently dealing with injuries to Terron Armstead and Robert Jones.
