Travis Kelce‘s mother, Donna Kelce, offered her honest review after listening to Taylor Swift‘s The Tortured Poets Department album which dropped earlier last week on April 19.
The 71-year-old opened up to People on Wednesday at QVC’s first Age of Possibility Summit in Las Vegas and gushed that the Grammy winner’s new LP is ‘her best work.’
‘I listened to the whole album, and I listened to it all morning long when it was released,’ Donna expressed to the outlet.
She then added, ‘I was just very impressed. She is a very talented woman, and I think it is probably her best work.’
When asked if she had any advice for the Bad Blood hitmaker in regards to getting older, Donna replied with, ‘She doesn’t need my advice on anything. In fact, I hope she will give me advice.’
While stopping by the summit on Wednesday, she had the chance to further discuss Swift’s 11th studio album during an interview with Us Weekly.
Since the release of TTPD, fans have theorized the meanings behind the tracks, including references to her exes Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, as well as current boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
Donna revealed that she is also curious which songs are about her son and Kansas City Chiefs tight end. ‘I know there’s a few that some people think are about Travis but we’ll just see.’
She then continued by telling the publication, ‘You know, I’ll have to ask her when I see her.’
The song titled, So High School, seemingly references to Swift’s romance with Travis, with some lyrics including: ‘You knew what you wanted and, boy, you got her.’
The pro football player had attended her Eras Tour concert last year and voiced afterwards how he had wanted to give her his number.
When questioned if she has a favorite song off the album, Donna admitted that she doesn’t ‘really’ have one, but further said of the LP: ‘It’s her best one!’
Last year in November, Travis’s mother also had positive words to say about the Eras Tour film which officially premiered in theaters on October 13.
During an interview with People, Donna stated, ‘I did see it and I did like it. It was awesome,’ and added that the singer-songwriter is, ‘extremely, extremely talented.’
Kelce then expressed that she ‘was just totally enthralled’ when watching the movie on the big screen and applauded Taylor for having the ‘presence to be able to connect with people. That’s just amazing.’
Both Donna and Taylor had the chance to get to know each other when the songstress attended various Kansas City Chiefs games during the last season to cheer on Travis.
Last month in March, a source told Us Weekly, ‘Both of their families love them as a couple and Taylor has become even more close with Travis’ mom, [Donna]. Taylor has really been integrated into the family.’
Along with developing a bond with Donna, she has also gotten close with his sister-in-law Kylie.
Earlier this week, a separate source told People that the NFL star has also listened to The Tortured Poets Department. ‘He is always in awe of her,’ an insider told the outlet.
A source also opened up to DailyMail.com about Travis’s feelings towards the album and references to Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy.
‘Travis has zero concern for what or whom the songs are about.’
‘If it is about Joe, or anyone, even if it is about him in the future, this is the artist she is, and he is in love with her and doesn’t pay any attention to be jealous.’
The source added, ‘He understands this is a major part of what makes her the person and artist she. He supports her 100 per cent and loves everything she is doing. Joe or any of her exes is not of concern to him whatsoever.’
TTPD has broken records since its release last night, such as the track Fortnight becoming Spotify’s most-streamed song in a single day.
