Actor Vin Diesel posted a response about the Fast X Part 1 nomination that features a video of the actor from 2016.
He mentioned the car-based intense film was nominated for Best Action Movie and Best Movie of the Year at the People’s Choice Awards. The sentiments were posted on Instagram.
Vin Diesel is thankful for the support and People’s Choice Awards for Fast X
The post features a video from 2016 of him accepting the honor. In it, he’s on stage, holding the awards and holding back emotions.
The actor wrote, “Universal just informed me that you all nominated Fast X Part 1…Best Action Movie and Best Movie of the year…”
He added, “I immediately was brought back to 2016, and that moment I was doing my best to fight back emotions and remain cool. I have had the great fortune to make many films and play many iconic characters…but when I go into that Dom state of mind, it’s as though I am simply doing a sketch…of my soul.”
Diesel discussed what it meant for him to have the support.
“You have always been there with me on this journey, your love and support fuels me beyond words. I hope to make you proud,” he said.
This all comes after recent allegations against him for sexual battery from an assistant, Asta Jonasson. The incident happened in 2010, PEOPLE reports. It alleged that the Fast & Furious actor pulled Jonasson onto a bed, groped her, and masturbated.
We’ll see where the lawsuit goes and what happens to Vin Diesel. In the meantime, he’s thankful for any support he can get.
