During his tenure at NC State, Chubb was a force to be reckoned with on the defense, clinching the Bronco Nagurski Trophy for the nation’s top defensive player in his senior year. Moreover, he was recognized as an All-American and named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, achieving an impressive collegiate career that boasted 25 sacks, 54.5 tackles for loss, and six forced fumbles.
Following his stellar college career, Chubb entered the NFL as the highest-drafted pass rusher in 2018, selected by the Denver Broncos with the No. 5 overall pick. In his fifth NFL season, a notable trade moved Chubb to the Miami Dolphins, a deal which also included a first-round pick for 2023 heading to Denver. Following the trade, Miami cemented Chubb’s future with the team through a five-year, $110 million contract extension.
Since donning the Dolphins’ colors, Chubb has made significant contributions on the field, amassing 13.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles in just 24 games. This Hall of Fame induction not only celebrates Chubb’s collegiate success but also acknowledges his ongoing impact in the NFL.
