POLL: Where does Terrell Suggs rank among all-time Ravens?

Terrell Suggs will be entering his fifteenth season this September. His stellar play throughout his career has cemented a prominent place in Baltimore Ravens lore.

‘T-Sizzle’ has suited up for the Ravens in 197 games from 2003 to 2016. That mark is third best in franchise history, behind only Ray Lewis and Matt Stover. He holds the franchise record with 114.6 career sacks, 44 more than Peter Boulware and 63 more than Michael McCrary produced in Baltimore.

Suggs has forced 28 fumbles, which is the most in Ravens history. He also ranks second in tackles behind Ray Lewis, and is tied with Ed Reed for second most fumble recoveries.

Terrell has not had any issues reeling home the hardware either. He was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003, NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2011, Super Bowl champion in 2013 and six-time Pro Bowler.

Beyond the numbers and awards, Suggs has brought valuable intangibles to the team. His toughness is above reproach, he has played through various painful injuries and recovered from others in record time. Terrell has consistently made a big impact in the postseason, stoked rivalries and provided some of the club’s most memorable plays. Perhaps most beneficially, ‘Sizz’ has been a bridge between the Ravens tradition of yesteryear to the new generation of Baltimore football as the veteran leader in the locker room and on the practice field.

The Ravens Mt. Rushmore is rather straightforward at this point in team history. Jonathan Ogden and Ray Lewis, the first two draft selections in team history, are bonafide first ballot Hall of Famers. Ed Reed is arguably the best safety ever to play the sport of football. And Terrell Suggs is absolutely in competition with these three legendary cornerstones as all time best Raven.
