The Miami Dolphins are down badly in 2024. The team is currently 2-4 on the season, and things have only gotten worse.
The Dolphins will now be without one of their wide receivers, as return specialist Braxton Berrios is now out for the 2024 season. He has torn his ACL.
Berrios suffered a knee injury during the Dolphins vs Colts game, and he was pounding the ground in clear pain. Further test results have now confirmed he will be out for the rest of 2024.

Berrios has been the return man for the Dolphins in 2024, along with being used in the passing game plenty. Through six games, Berrios returned punts for 103 total yards with a long 44 yards.
Berrios also did kickoffs three times for a total of 76 yards with a long of 31 yards. Through the 2024 season, Berrios had not logged a catch.
Berrios was also a return specialist in 2023, picking up 235 yards via punt returns and 441 yards via kickoff returns. He was also more involved in the passing game, securing 238 yards and one touchdown.
The Dolphins offense has been a mess since Tua Tagovailoa went down in Week 2. The star quarterback suffered his third concussion when he ran head-first into Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin.
Tagovailoa was immediately ruled out of the game with a concussion and was then placed on IR so he could speak to outside doctors about his playing future. The young quarterback surprised the NFL world on Monday when he announced that he would return to practice this week, and had an almost defiant tone when discussing the “risks” he is comfortable talking about to return to the field.
After his third concussion, many in the football world called for the quarterback to retire, but Tagovailoa has been adamant about returning this season. He is expected to do just that in Week 8 when the Dolphins take on the Arizona Cardinals.
Without Tagovailoa, the Dolphins offense has not been able to do much of anything, only managing 15 points in a win against the New England Patriots in Week 5. After a week 6 bye, the team returned to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7.
Despite the hope the team could rally for a win, they dropped to the Colts with a final score of 16-10. Tagovailoa should help to revive the offense, but he will do so without Berrios.
The hope is Berrios can heal quickly and be ready for the start of the 2025 season.
