The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs superstar has compiled one of the best careers at his position in the history of the NFL.
As such, Kelce plans to go as long as he possibly can while playing amongst the elite in the NFL.
Kelce recently said that he plans to play ‘until the wheels fall off’, according to The Athletic.
‘Hopefully, that doesn’t happen anytime soon,’ the star tight end said on Tuesday.
‘I really can’t put a timeframe on (retirement). I love coming to work every single day.
‘Obviously, I know there’s opportunities outside of football for me. You have to keep in perspective that I’m still a little kid when I come into this building, man.
‘I know I’m 34 years old, but I have a love to do this right here, in the middle of the heat in June. I love coming to work every single day.’
Kelce helped lead Kansas City to their second successive Super Bowl title – which landed him a big pay day.
He signed a new two-year contract in April which made him the highest paid tight end in the league – earning $17million fully guaranteed this year.
Last season, Kelce racked up 93 catches for 984 yards in the regular season and 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns in the playoffs.
The previous season has also seen Kelce rise to stardom alongside his brother Jason with their popular ‘New Heights’ podcast. An episode of that podcast will be recorded at this summer’s Cannes Festival.
