The romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has taken the globe by storm. The unlikely pairing between the pop music superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl-winning tight end has traversed sports to create all kinds of headlines in recent months.
Rumors are still swirling that the pair could get engaged soon, but they are both rather busy — Kelce with various offseason activities, Swift with preparations for the next leg of her epic “Eras Tour.”
One of Kelce’s activities includes organizing Kelce Jam, a music festival in Kansas City that will take place next month. Ahead of the event — being held for the second year running — Kelce sat down with Entertainment Tonight to talk about the festival and how Swift has opened his eyes to the possibilities inherent in musicmaking.

Kelce, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs, told ET that dating Swift has revealed similarities he did not expect — such as their passion for what they do and the support they show one another.
“I think we’re both very career-driven, I think we both love what we do,” Kelce said. “Any chance that I can show my support to her, knowing that she’s shown me all the support in the world throughout the season, it’s definitely been fun to experience her taste in music.”
Kelce has accompanied Swift to several shows on her lengthy tour, including her dates in Buenos Aires, Singapore, and Sydney. Swift, the writer of hits like “Karma”, ” Lover”, and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, attended 13 Chiefs games during the 2023 NFL season — including their victory in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
“She’s so amazing at what she does, and to find that creativity, to see where she likes to pull things from, and just really how she listens to music is very eye-opening to me,” Kelce said, conceding it has been like a crash-course in music.
What is “Kelce Jam”?
Kelce spoke in advance of Kelce Jam on May 18, which will be held at the Azura Amphitheater in Kansas City. Rappers Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz were successfully recruited for the event and will be headliners, while disc jockey Diplo will also perform. Swift will be in Stockholm, Sweden, for the European leg of her tour.
The festival is slated to run for seven hours into the evening of May 18 and will promote local restaurants, with Kelce hopeful of attracting more than 20,000 attendees who showed up in 2023.
