Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill found himself in a humorous situation during Sunday’s game. After a traffic stop earlier in the day resulted in Hill being handcuffed, the star receiver brushed it off and took the field.
He went on to score an electrifying 80-yard touchdown, celebrating with a playful nod to the day’s earlier events – mimicking being handcuffed as he reached the end zone.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was briefly detained by police near the team’s stadium on Sunday morning, according to a team statement on X. The incident occurred due to an alleged traffic violation.
Hill was observed in handcuffs in videos circulating on social media, and there are reports of him being forced to the ground. Despite the incident, the Dolphins confirmed that Hill was released and would be available for their Week One game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also confirmed that Hill was released and preparing for the game. Several Dolphins players reportedly witnessed the incident and offered their support to Hill.
