One of the reasons fans love the Lakers forward is his humor. Even during a critical game such as Monday’s, the star found a way to have fun and shut down the fan in a light-hearted manner.
LeBron James was unhappy with the referees throughout the series
The fun did not last long for James as the Nuggets ended the Lakers’ season and took the series win 4-1 to qualify further into the competition. James has been upset with officiating during the whole series as he complained during games. The Nuggets fans have also called out his behavior numerous times during the week.
During the second game, after hitting D’Angelo Russell in the face, a foul was called on Michael Porter Jr. But after review, as the Nuggets challenged, the call was overturned on the Lakers which did not sit well with James. In the press conference, the star called out the replay center.
I don’t understand what’s going on in the replay center, to be honest… D-Lo clearly gets hit in the face on a drive. What the f*** do we have a replay center for if it’s going to go.LeBron James said
Despite the Lakers complaining in the second game, the team shot significantly more free throws during game 1 and game 5 of the series. Yet the team could not defeat the reigning champions. Hence, the fans’ reaction to James’ complaining about officiating was inevitable.
