Two worlds collided Saturday night when Taylor Swift earned a mention on the WrestleMania 40 broadcast.
Jason Kelce, the older brother of the popstar’s boyfriend Travis, made a surprise appearance at the WWE event as he helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade to a win.
And naturally, a reference was made to Swift – just as they had been on NFL broadcasts through the season – despite the 14-time Grammy Award winner not being present at Lincoln Financial Field.
As Kelce hopped onto the ropes following his grand entrance, Peacock commentator Michael Cole asked, ‘isn’t that what’s her name’s brother-in-law?’
Cole as clearly referring to the songstress but mistakenly assumed she was married to Kelce’s Chiefs star brother Travis.

Swift has been dating Kelce’s younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce
As he apologetically began to excuse his lack of both NFL and pop culture knowledge by claiming he was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, his co-host Pat McAfee began singing ’22’ – a hit from Swift’s fourth album, ‘Red’.
Swift and Travis Kelce have been dating since the summer with the Anti-Hero hitmaker attending 13 of his NFL games, including the Super Bowl, last season.
Travis has been enjoying some downtime with Swift at her $25million Los Angeles mansion after the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory and the end of the most recent leg of her international Eras Tour.
The singer met Jason and his wife Kylie at the Chiefs’ playoff game against the Buffalo Bills in January and she and Travis are believed to have flown to Philadelphia to spend Easter weekend with Jason, Kylie and their three daughters.
Kelce, an Eagles legend who announced his retirement from the NFL last month, donned an Eagles mask along with former teammate Lane Johnson as the pair ambushed Dom Mysterio and stopped him from using a chair against his father, Rey.
From there, Rey landed a double 619 on Dom and his partner Santos Escobar before frog splashing on Escobar to secure the win.
Kelce and Johnson then celebrated the victory in the ring with Rey and Andrade, before removing their Eagles masks.

The Philly pair then stood on the rope and basked in the reception from the hometown crowd.
The X account of New Heights, the podcast that Kelce co-hosts with his brother Travis, re-shared a clip of the sequence originally posted by WWE.
‘NAME A BETTER TAG TEAM, I’LL WAIT,’ the account captioned the video.
Afterwards, Jason was pictured with wrestling great The Rock backstage.
Saturday marked just the second time that Wrestlemania had been held in Philly, with the last time coming in 1999 at the First Union Center (now known as the Wells Fargo Center).
This time, it was held at Lincoln Financial Field – the home of the Eagles, who Kelce played for for 13 seasons.
